Promoting sailing in the Highlands of Scotland.

Our Objectives are:

bullet

To promote interest and participation in sailing in the Highland Area by maximising material and financial resources.

bullet

To promote sailing as an equal opportunities sport available to all.

bullet

To encourage the population of the area to take up sailing including school pupils and leavers, adults and people with disabilities.

bullet

To adopt a co-ordinated approach for the development of sailing clubs and organisations within the area and in relation to specific projects.

bullet

To assess the available sailing resources in the area and ensure access can be gained at appropriate times.

bullet

To promote and support regattas and open events in the area as considered desirable.

bullet

To assist local sailing clubs, organisations and individuals in the area by arranging courses for personal performance improvement and in coach education.

bullet

To provide a focal point for clubs and individuals to obtain information regarding sailing issues in the area.

18/4/08 - invitation to be involved in the Highland Sports Strategy consultations due to take place across dates in May 2008 - click.

17/4/08 - GS AGM date put back to 2 June and the venue changed to Caley Cruisers Conference Room. The change in date and location is to allow the Chairman of RYA Scotland - Hamish MacKay - and the Chief Operating Officer - Agnes Barclay - to attend. Please accept this open invitation to a MOB and Sea Safety Day with demonstrations and talks.
Ever thought about what you would/could do if someone went over the side??? Well May 11th at Cromarty is a good day to find out.
An indication of possible numbers wishing to attend would be very useful, replies to myself by May 5th please.
