How and where to learn to sail or to improve your sailing If you want to learn to sail or go on a course to improve your existing sailing skills, there is no better place than a Training Centre recognized by the Royal Yachting Association and allowed to display the famous ‘tick’ mark
Instructors at Training Centres hold qualifications issued by the Royal Yachting Association appropriate to the courses they offer and the organization and equipment at the Training Centre is inspected annually to ensure that it continues to meet the standards. Training Centres can be commercial operations or part of a sailing club. Use this resource to learn more about the courses on offer and where the courses are run in and around the Highlands. Start off by thinking about what type of boat you want to learn to sail. Is it a dinghy, a small keelboat, a multihull or a yacht? Don’t know?
